1987 Kawasaki ELIMINATOR 1000
$5,000- I have a rare and collectible 1987 Kawasaki ZL1000 Eliminator for sale. This bike has been meticulously restored and cared for over the years. It has been professionally restored from the frame up with countless new and hard to find parts. Myself and the previous owner tried to keep the bike as original as possible. I have an extensive list of receipts and documentation. Here is a short list of the mechanical repairs and restorations:
- Complete engine rebuild
- Carburetor and petcock rebuilt
- Front and rear shocks rebuilt
- Frame stripped and repainted
- Tank and all covers stripped and repainted
- New radiator, grill, and shroud

- Oil, brake, and rear transmission fluid changed
- Tune-up with new spark plugs
- Radiator flush and refill
- New battery with trickle tender cord.
- Tires are in excellent condition

- Here is a short history of the ZL1000. It was imported into the U.S. for just one year (1987). It was also sold in Europe and Asia 1987-88. Total production was 2,500 with just only 1,000 imported here to the U.S The engine came from the GPZ1000 Ninja racing bike as well as the Concours. It has 110 HP, 100 front tire and a super wide 160 rear tire, dual front disc brakes, and can do the quarter mile time in 11.3 seconds at 115mph making it still one of the fastest cruiser-styled motorcycles in the world, even 35 years later.
