The 2000 Cagiva River 500 is one of the least-known machines from the Italian brand, and was designed as a fuel-efficient and agile daily commuter, that can also take on weekend strolls. It has features such as a 40mm Marzocchi upside-down telescopic front fork, an adjustable mono-shock as a rear suspension, die--cast aluminium wheels, Brembo brakes in the front and in the rear, a twin-spar frame, a dual seat and a small windscreen. Furthermore, it can be accessorized with side-panniers for more storage capacity.In the engine department it sports an air/oil-cooled, four-stroke, 497cc, single cylinder powerhouse mated to a five-speed manual transmission and can produce 34 horsepower and 44 Nm of torque.
