1989 YAMAHA VMAX 1200 – VMX12

Very fast.  Tons of torque and acceleration…and then the V-Boost kicks in and you really takeoff.  This bike runs great, and everything works like its supposed to.  Excellent condition with nice chrome, paint, seat upholstery, etc.  Tires are like new with very few miles.  Just image blasting around the backroads this summer on your classic V-Max muscle bike.  These classic V-Max’s are highly sought after by collectors that like to ride and enjoy their bikes.

Retro Muscle Bike !! 145 Horsepower from the 1198cc liquid-cooled V-four engine. Cycle World had this to say: “When you whack open the throttle on this machine, things start happening immediately and in rapid succession. At about 3000 rpm, the V-Max lunges forward with more low-rpm power than is available on any bike previously offered to the public. Within a fraction of a second, you’re firmly pitched back against the sharp step in the Yamaha’s seat while the tach needle springs upward with alarming speed. Another quarter-second and you reach what would be called the powerband on any other motorcycle but is more like some kind of hyper-thrust on the V-Max.” Yamaha called it V-Boost.

This particular bike is in excellent condition. It currently has only 45,950 miles on the clock. All original unmolested bike in very good running condition. It has just been serviced including a fresh oil/filter change. It has a nice pair of Pirelli tires.
